Happy Feet! Quilted Sneaker Class

Here’s your chance to make your very own fabulous quilted sneakers in the fabric you choose! In this all-day, hands-on workshop, you’ll turn your favorite quilting cotton into a one-of-a-kind pair of shoes you’ll be proud to wear and show off, thanks to instructor Joan Radell.

Class will be on August 8, 2026, from 9 am - 5 pm. A minimum of 8 students is required. If we fill this class, we will add a second class date on August 9th. The class fee includes the shoe making kit ( soles/insoles, pattern, instructor's book, needle, piercing tool, eyelets and shoemaking cord).

This class requires some prep work prior to class. Sewing experience required.

Because there are several steps involved, there is some prep work required before class day. You will receive instruction on fabrics and stabilizer requirements once you register.

Your kit includes sneaker soles, padded insoles, the sneaker pattern and guide, and the small tools needed to assemble your sneakers. All other tools will be provided for your use in class. Please make sure that when you register, you indicate what size shoe you need, and if you prefer black or white soles! These must be ordered in advance—your host shop will advise you of the ordering deadline. The soles are sized in European sizing, and you need to order them in European sizing. 

Please note that soles are not available for sizes under 36, and above 47. For women’s sizes over 41, please reach out to us. Note: commercial brands Dansko and Birkenstock fit like our soles. There is no need to size up. Wide soles are not available from the manufacturer, but the soles are a little wider than traditional American women’s shoes. Check the universal commerce label on the inside of a pair of sneakers that fit you well for the EU size.

Cancellation policy: Due to the cost of the instructor, classroom space, and ordering of shoe kits, we will provide a 75% refund up until June 1st. After this date, you will receive a 50% refund until July 1st. No refund will be provided if you cancel after July 1st.
