In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to use your sewing machine to create clean, polished appliqué using a zig zag stitch. We’ll cover everything from prepping your pieces to stitching them down smoothly—perfect for beginners or anyone wanting to sharpen their skills.

✂️ Supplies Needed:

  • Sewing machine with the ability to do a zig zag stitch
  • Paper cutting scissors
  • Sharp small scissors for cutting appliqué shapes (Karen Buckley recommended)
  • 18" background fabric (sky)
  • 5" x 18" fabric strip (grass)
  • Scraps of fabric for flowers, leaves, and cat
  • Teflon pressing sheet
  • Misty Fuse
  • Thread to match your fabric colors
  • Wound bobbins
