In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to use your sewing machine to create clean, polished appliqué using a zig zag stitch. We’ll cover everything from prepping your pieces to stitching them down smoothly—perfect for beginners or anyone wanting to sharpen their skills.
✂️ Supplies Needed:
- Sewing machine with the ability to do a zig zag stitch
- Paper cutting scissors
- Sharp small scissors for cutting appliqué shapes (Karen Buckley recommended)
- 18" background fabric (sky)
- 5" x 18" fabric strip (grass)
- Scraps of fabric for flowers, leaves, and cat
- Teflon pressing sheet
- Misty Fuse
- Thread to match your fabric colors
- Wound bobbins
